Cosplay Foundry started as a passion project, born from the desire to empower and connect cosplayers of all skill levels and celebrate the creativity of this amazing community. We strive to help cosplayers learn and expan upon their skills by providing a provide a platform that is easy to use, and accessible to everyone.
Cosplay Foundry is a database and community for cosplayers and costume makers to find resources, assets, references, guides, tutorials, tips and tricks. As well as share their creations, get feedback, and connect with others. We are a community-driven platform that aims to provide a safe and inclusive space for all cosplayers, regardless of their skill level or experience. Our goal is to help cosplayers of all backgrounds and abilities to connect, learn, and grow together.

Who are we?
We are a dedicated team based in Melbourne, Australia, with strong roots in the Australian cosplay and maker communities. Our team consists of a seasoned software engineer and a passionate cosplayer and content creator. Together, we are hoping to make a significant impact in the community by providing robust tools and resources that empower all cosplayers to celebrate their favorite characters.
What about the money?
Operating a platform of this nature incurs significant expenses, particularly in terms of serving large quantities of images, videos, and other assets in the quantities expected, as well as moderation costs, including automated image moderation, and manual human moderation time. Additionally, we may need to incorporate advertisements, affiliate links and sponsorships throughout the website to further offset expenses in the future. We strive to be as transparent as possible about the income generated by these, however there are sadly restrictions around this. If you can believe it, serving a single page to you with ~10 images, can cost $0.10!
If you appreciate our mission and wish to support us, we welcome donations once we launch. All donations will be allocated directly to moderation, new features, and server and maintenance costs, ensuring the platform's sustainability.
